About this tool

DXCC entities

The ARRL DXCC list counts 340 "entities": countries, plus islands and territories far enough apart to count separately (Hawaii, Alaska, the Canary Islandsโ€ฆ). Working 100 of them earns the DXCC award. Tick the box under any entity to keep your own tally; it stays in this browser.

How the lookup works

Callsigns are matched against AD1C's country file, first for special callsigns listed individually, then by the longest matching prefix. For portable calls like VP2E/W1AW the operating prefix wins. Zones and the map position are the entity's centre, so big countries (USA, Russia, Brazil) can differ from the station's real location. Times shown are standard time; daylight saving isn't applied.
